I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend. Between the rain showers, mine was wonderful!! Over the past week, my station has recieved over 1.5" of rain! I'm ready for a hot & dry spell.
Saturday was a graduation party for my oldest nephew who just graduated high school! Congrats AJ!! I got to visit with my baby brother ~ WxWatcher. Here's a photo of the two of us...
On Sunday, the kids and Tim and I enjoyed a bbq at a friend's house. The kids enjoyed some time in the pool ...
.... then it started raining, but that wouldn't stop my youngest from enjoying some basketball!!
It rained off and on (mostly on!) the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was a good weekend nonetheless. I hope you all had some fun too.
I think this weekend, for us, will be hot and dry. I'm actually looking forward to that - getting kinda tired of the rain.
Have a great weekend everyone!!! :o)
Ami
Hey, good pictures Ami! I especially like the one of basketball in the rain...it looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteDid those cloud pictures turn out that I took on your camera that day? I wish I had my camera with me on my fishing trip to Montauk Wednesday. The convection was amazing. I debated whether to bring it or not because I just knew there would be some photo ops, but knowing that I'd be wading in the water all day kept me from bringing it.
Hope you enjoy your weekend as well. We're getting a little rain as of Saturday morning, but it should clear out and become sunny by midday. Time to weed the garden!
He was having such a blast playing in that downpour with his new buddy! :o)
ReplyDeleteWe were receiving a bit of rain this morning too, but looking at the radar, it should move out of here pretty soon. It will be a good day for gardening!! I need to do a LOT of unpacking and some gardening also.
Hey Ami, I love the pictures!! The one of Ry playing BBall in the rain is awesome. :o) Like you, I am ready for a dry spell. I just hope this warm, dry weather holds out until next weekend. We are supposed to go camping at Table Rock for my birthday. Speaking of my birthday, what are you going to get me for a gift????? ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the basketball game! I'm not surprised that Ryan wanted to play in the rain - but isn't that other guy a little older????
ReplyDeleteIf you would, package up some of that rain and send out my way - we are dry. Last two days in the 90's with a few more of those to come. Nice photos...
ReplyDeleteChristy - I already know what I'm getting you, just have to pick it up! :o)
ReplyDeleteGdzgo4 - I thought it was sweet of the guy to play with my baby in the rain. He had been involved in 2 grown-up games prior to the rain, so it probably felt refreshing!
Bob - I'll do my best. Beautiful weather today and yesterday here in the Ozarks. Maybe that means you are getting my rain???
Our Memorial Day up here was productive to say the least! Ami, you're a Cardinal fan, eh? So is my wife. (born and raised in STL, who wouldn't be, right?!)
ReplyDeleteHot and dry = Dog Days. I'd like as few of them as possible please. It's been beautiful up here the past few days with temps in the 60's and plentiful sunshine (and a stray shower here and there).
Enjoy, it's Summer! Meteorologically at least.
