As far as I know, there wasn't any major damage from last night's storm system. The lightning display was amazing, and rain at my station was .73". According to additional CoCoRaHS reports, the storms brought up to 4-5" in areas of Northern Missouri. Looks like we have cooler, but calmer, weather in store for the next few days. Maybe even a chance to get outside and enjoy God's beauty!
It appears the stormy weather pattern is over for now. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Have the creeks/rivers subsided since last week? I'm sure this little event didn't help any.
ReplyDeleteWasn't the lightning awesome? I turned all the lights off in the house and just sat in the living room while the storms rolled through. Pretty cool
See you next weekend!
Great site! You seem to be a lot like me. Glad you fared well in all that mess Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteHey, you're in banking?! I am an accountant. Cool.
ReplyDeleteWe had some nice flashes of lightning a few days ago along with very loud booms of thunder, too.
ReplyDeleteIsn't N. Missouri the same location that was hit by severe thunderstorms a week or so ago?
Yes. Hopefully this dry spell has helped the clean-up efforts in the areas hit the hardest.
